Each morning gives us a new opportunity, the success or failure of yesterday is behind you, you are starting the day with a clean slate. In starting with that clean slate we need to start with a heart of forgiveness for others and ourselves. It is also an opportunity to change the tendency to edge God out and giving Him full control of our lives. The newness of each day reflects God’s ongoing work of grace, grace that frees us from the past and offers a way forward.
Romans 8:1-2 "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death."
Lamentations 3:22-23 "It is because of the Lord’s mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great and abundant is Your stability and faithfulness."
